Located just north of downtown Cincinnati, Prospect Hill is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. One of Cincinnati’s oldest neighborhoods (many early residents were veterans of the American Revolutionary War), Prospect Park is characterized by historic brick homes, stone retaining walls, and preserved iron fences. The steep landscape frequently requires open spaces between lots and buildings; many city-maintained steps climb up and through the neighborhood.
Historic homes in the area include fine examples of Greek Revival, Italianate, and Second Empire Victorian architecture; prices range from $150,000 to $1,900,000. In addition to being within walking distance of downtown Cincinnati, Prospect Hill is near to the University of Cincinnati and expressways. While the neighborhood is mostly residential, it contains a number of restaurants and small businesses.
