Ludlow

Incorporated during the Civil War in 1864, the city of Ludlow rests West of Covington, with the Ohio River as its north border. Ludlow has long been known for its tavern culture—at many points in the city’s history, the ratio of taverns to residents was ten times the national average—with several of these taverns still in operation. Ludlow offers residents friendly and quaint neighborhood communities within convenient distance to the thriving entertainment districts in downtown Cincinnati, Covington, and Newport.

Ludlow’s historic homes include Italianate, Queen Anne, and Victorian Vernacular architectural styles, with later Arts and Crafts bungalows (with some foursquares as well). Prices range from $75,000 to $550,000; these homes were built from 1880 to 1935.
