Clifton Gaslight

Famous for its working gas street lamps, the oldest of which date back to 1843, this eclectic walking neighborhood features tree-lined streets and a wealth of independent restaurants, boutiques, and essential businesses at its hub on Ludlow Avenue, deemed Cincinnati’s first “Main Street neighborhood.” In addition to its urban charms, the neighborhood is also home to delightful green spaces such as, Mt. Storm Park, Burnet Woods, and the Rawson Nature Preserve.

Historic home architecture in Clifton Gaslight is diverse, including Second Empire, Richardsonian Romanesque, Gothic, Victorian, Arts and Crafts, Tudor, and Colonial Revival styles. Most historic homes were built between 1860 and 1935; prices range from $200,000 to $1,100,000.

In addition to being one of the few neighborhoods in Cincinnati where a car is not necessary for everyday activity and entertainment, Clifton Gaslight is convenient to downtown, the University of Cincinnati, and expressways.
