Formerly orchard land, the historic Cedar Grove neighborhood in Price Hill began residential development in 1883; its close proximity to downtown (just west of the city) attracted wealthy residents who no longer wanted to live in the crowded inner city. Continued development over the next several decades yielded a plentiful assortment of architectural styles.
Built between 1890 and 1930, historic homes in Cedar Grove include Arts and Crafts foursquares and bungalows, Colonials, Dutch Colonials, and some late Victorians. Prices range from $50,000 to $280,000.
