Milford

Incorporated as a village in 1836, the present-day city of Milford rests sixteen miles east of downtown Cincinnati. Its name comes from a combination of its thriving early- eighteenth-century mills and the nearby ford over the Little Miami River (the first safe ford north of the Ohio River). The area is known for its dedication to preserving Milford history, including the downtown Promont House museum (former home of Ohio Governor John Pattison) and the rebuilding of the historic barbershop at Main and Garfield after it was destroyed in a fire.

Historic homes in Milford, built from 1860 to 1935, feature Italianate Victorian, Victorian Vernacular, and Arts and Crafts foursquares and bungalows. Prices range from $250,000 to $2,500,000.
